
Production at Petrolera Argentina S.A will account for 7% of the total demand in Argentina. As a diversified Co. Petrolera Argentina is focused on both the local and the export markets.
The export efforts of Petrolera Argentina S.A. are mainly oriented towards the Brazilian and Chilean markets. Products developed for the local market are traded basically in the south of Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro, La Pampa, southern Buenos Aires, Chubut and Santa Cruz.
The company expands to offer additional services to its clients and mainly to the gas stations “Bandera Blanca” (White Flag) located in the region mentioned above.
In pace with these objectives, it joined Refino Plus a programme of incentive launched by the Federal Planning Ministry, which rules come from the National Energy Secretary.
Petrolera Argentina S.A. has recently engaged in an ambitious investment plan to enlarge its product offer. It has built a new gasoline plant that can produce 325,000m3 per year of high octane gasoline for automobiles of 93 to 100 ROM.
In order to keep up with its growing diversification of activities, Petrolera Argentina S.A. started the construction of infrastructure for the storage, transportation and management of the fuels it produces. Some of these developments are:
Construction of a new reclycling and isomerization plant
Construction of an aromatics plant and a new topping plant for heavy crude.
Assessment of a hydrogene plant project
Construction of the loading islands of gasolines
Construction of scales of INTI and Customs certification
Construction of gasoline and liquid gas storage tanks in the Bahía Blanca and Zárate ports.

One of the by-products Petrolera Argentina S.A. obtains from its refining process is liquid gas. It is a production of a substancial quantity of this fuel of growing demand in the region –about 7,200 tons per year of butane-propane- which represents 720,000 bottles of 10 kilograms per year. As mentioned earlier, this production is either aimed at the regional population or directly burned in the local industries.
Another product derived from production is fuel gas. A project for the construction of an electricity generation plant, with a generation capacity of 10MW.
